Because I really have no where else to put down everything for my wedding, this is where it's gonna be for the time being!  If you don't care to know, stop reading now.  Otherwise, enjoy!

Colors-Wine Red and Silver
Fall wedding in the mountains of PA = HOPE the weather's good!
At a resort, which is exactly what we wanted-everything is there, on the grounds.  They're supplying everything from the officiant, to the ceremony, to the food, decorations, rooms, etc.  All that's up to me is the flowers, music, and cake.

Cake-not sure.  I didn't want one in the beginning, but my fiance said that we should have one.  I said to let everyone pick their own desserts out!  I don't like wedding cake, anyways.

Flowers-Mine are going to be simple.  Long stem calla lilies (dark dark red) and maybe long stem white roses.  Or tulips.  Something like that.  My one stepdaughter (MOH) will be carrying one long stem white rose or tulip, and the other stepdaughter will be the flower girl.

Nephew is the ring bearer.

Getting a strolling violinist (always my dream to have strings play at my wedding) for the ceremony and cocktail hour.

Anyone know a good, cheap (under $500) photographer in the Pittsburgh area?  Anyone????

You know what's silly?  I think the thing that I'm looking forward to the most (for now, at least-the rest hasn't really hit me yet!) is spending the afternoon with my step-daughters-to-be getting our hair done.  I can't wait!!!

Music choices-ceremony-I want to walk down the aisle to something different that Canon in D.  Thinking Ave Marie.  During the rock ceremony (which I'm having instead of a unity candle) I'm thinking "the prayer".  traditional wedding march on the way out.

I'm sure I'll add more as plans go forth.

3 months to go!

eeks.

Kara...talk to Holly about the guy that did her wedding. He was good and cheap. He charges a flat fee plus you pay for all the film & batteries. When he's finished, he gives you the film to get developed.  He works with Holly and this is something he does on the side.

Are your colors Wine Red or Wine & Red?  Just clarifying it...lol

May. 29, 2008 at 8:56 AM Just a suggestion - why not get a cake "top" so you'll have something to freeze for your first anniversary and assorted cupcakes -- this is becoming very trendy I think...  I know Bethel Bakery will do this -- we were just at a wedding that had this set-up...

Kara...you don't have to have traditional wedding cake. You can have what ever flavor cake & icing you want...and remeber you are having less than 50 guests so you won't need a very big cake...a small 2 or 3 layer.  Oh oh...you're getting married at the start of football season...how about a Steeler's themed cake...lol

I'll gladly take any leftovers...j/k lol
