Ruby's journal

This is how I keep you up to date.

So I go into the appointment. Everything is all fine and dandy until I see my doc that is. She seemed moody from the start. I really don't like her. When she asked how I was doing I told her that I was recovering from being sick over the long weekend and learned from my primary care that I had a sinus infection and she gave me a prescription for it. Then my doc fussed at me for going to my reg doc instead of her so she could make sure I was taking something safe. I was like...Why on earth would I think to go to an ob/gyn because of sinus problems???? But I didn't say anything I just dropped the subject. The whole way home I was kinda fuming. I mean seriously do ya think I am an idiot and that I would not double check with the pharmacist before taking any medication?? Or better yet that my reg doc and my pharmacist are idiots??? I mean come on. They do have medical degrees! URG! Besides. If I didn't an appointment today and I waited to see the ob I would have never gotten in. They are so fricken booked and I needed medication. I didn't want to end up with pneumonia AGAIN!

Anyway... Im gonna go destress and make some pork chops for dinner. BLAH

May. 28, 2008 at 5:58 PM I'm glad I never had an OB like this! Have you considered switching to someone else?

May. 28, 2008 at 6:01 PM Well I see a quad of docs that rotate me thru so I don't see her very often fortunately. I really wanted female docs and this is the only place in town that does. There is 1 guy and though he can talk your ear off and be a pain he does a good job. He delivered my brother.

Jun. 3, 2008 at 8:02 AM Let's just hope she's not the one who delivers your baby cuz it might stress you out!  Different OB's have so many different opinions about whether or not to see your PCP for stuff, so don't sweat it :)  Just try to remember that there ARE pregnant women out there taking meds they shouldn't be, so she was probably just looking out for you.  If I were an OB, it would be hard for me to treat patients in a group like that because you don't really get to KNOW your patients very well and trust me, they don't read charts thoroughly enough each visit.
