Hey all. Sorry it has been soo long since I've been online. I've been busy with finishing up with work and trying to relax before the baby came. Now that she is here, all is very well. Kaylee Rose was born on Sunday May 25th at 11:53 am. My labor started on its own Saturday the 24th with intense and very close contractions. I thought I was going to die. I got to the hospital and was not dilated any more than I was at the ob's office a few days prior. Disappointment was what I felt. They watched me for an hour or so and rechecked me to find that I had dilated another cm. They decided to keep me and keep watch. I was finally able to get an epidural and not a moment too soon, either. I had a very wonderful MD to put in the epidural this time. I spent the night on Pitocin and fluids thru my IV with no changes to my cervix. Tell me about frustrating!! Finally, the OB doc decided to break my bag of waters. One hour after that I was ready to push. I went from 5.5cm to 10 cm in about an hour. I pushed her out in only 15 minutes!! I wish epidurals would take away the pressure feelings and the RING OF FIRE too!!! I'm just glad it's over! At least I have a beautiful baby girl to show for all the hard work I did! She weighed in at 8 # 8 oz and 20" long. I'm glad I didn't get to my due date or beyond. She would have been over 9#! Been there done that! The delivery couldn't have gone any better. My family was with me the whole time and was able to be in the room when she was born. My kids were at school when she was born. Now that I'm at home, I think that everyone is much happier. Kaylee sleeps, eats, and POOPS. That's it. She eats every hour during the night and at least every two hours during the day. The first night home was rough, but it's getting better. I need to force myself to take naps during the day so as to not get too tired. She loves to sleep on one's chest on her stomach. All my kids loved to sleep on their stomachs. I posted several pics of the new addition and our family. I hope everyone enjoys them. I hope to hear from you all very soon.
