I am happy and proud to say that Nora is all growed up, lol.

NO MORE binkies and no more sippies.

She hasn't had her binky (or uh-oh, as she calls it) in 2 weeks.  She still cries for it at bedtime but will go to sleep without it.  YAY!

And I realized today that she hasn't used a sippy in a few weeks either.  YAY!  I'm ready to pack up all but 1 sippy (reserved for long car rides).

Now on to our last hurdle of potty training.  She is just not into it.  She tells us when she needs her diaper changed and tells us she should poopy on the potty but if you ask her if she wants to try she freaks out and says no and starts screaming.

We're still working on her "nakey" issues, too.  She is obsessed with clothing.  It took weeks to get her used to wearing a dress without tights on underneath.  Now we are working on sleeveless shirts in preperation for summer.  I tried to put a tank style dress on her the other day and she screamed and screamed until she was red in the face and took it off herself and demanded to have a shirt on.  She doesn't like her shoulders being uncovered.

She is a major prude, I guess.  I mean when it started to warm up she refused to wear skirts/dresses and only wants on long pants and t-shirts.  If she has a dress on she wants tights on underneath to cover her legs.  She is crazy.

Slowly we are getting her past it.  Hopefully when it starts getting really warm and she sees her sisters in shorts and tank tops she will want to wear them, too.

The other kids were never like this.  They spent most of their summers in nothing but a diaper or undies.  Brenna still runs around in just her pull-up and t-shirt in the morning and likes to sleep in just her pull-up.  She came down this morning in her t-shirt and pull-up and Nora freaked out and was carrying on and on about her being "nakey" and touching her legs.  Crazy, I tell you.

Wow!  Good about the sippies.  My son will be three in July and still uses a sippy cup.  We've been giving him more regular cups, but I'm still scared he's gonna spill it everywhere because he has before.  I hear you about potty training!  It sure is rough!  We're trying to potty train our son as we speak, and it's just awful.  The thing about Nora and her Nakey issues makes me laugh.  I know it's frustrating, but I'm sure it's just a weird phase.  I remember crap I used to do as a kid and wonder why in the world I was that way.  It sure does give us mothers the headaches, though!  My mom is sympathetic when I tell her my kids' annoyances, but then she reminds me how I was.  It all comes back around sooner or later!

My other kids were much older when they stopped using a sippy cup.  I had to keep all 3 on sippies until Brenna was ready to get off of them.  So they were almost 4, almost 5 and 6 when they stopped using them because Brenna would take any cups she saw and tried to drink from them and she is such a klutz she would spill it every time.  The other two probably would have been ready to stop using them at 3 but had to continue because of Brenna.

Nora has been drinking out of a regular cup since she was like 14 months old.  The last few months she was getting less sippies and now she hasn't had one in weeks.

My son is about 20 months right now, and he is really great using a regular cup, but I don't know what to do about in between meal times and car rides. How do I keep him happy and not thirsty, but not give him the sippy cup in the car or lounging around the house. Also, what do I do at the park or when we are out playing tee ball? You are amazing for figuring all this out! Can you help me??

She uses a bottle of water in the car or when we were out.  Before she was 2 she still took her sippy in the car, but usually drank from a water bottle during walks and such.  It was a gradual thing for her.  My other kids were much older before they stopped using a sippy cup.

I would say teach him to use a water bottle (how to sip from it correctly, I think Nora finally gets it...instead of putting her mouth over the entire opening) now.
