Hi mommies!  My baby Dane is six months old and will not sleep through the night.  I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO tired of waking up every 2-3 hours at night.  He wakes up crying and will only go back to sleep once I've changed his diaper, rocked and nursed him back to sleep!

I nursed my older son Blake to sleep when he was a baby as well.  I know, I know, everyone says not to do it.  But, it worked really well for us.  And, Blake started sleeping through the night at 10 weeks!  So, I'm at a loss as to what to do with this little guy!

Any thoughts or great ideas are welcome!  Thanks mommies!

Do you feed him cereal at night before bed to supplement with breast milk? If not, he may just be a hungry baby.

I wish you all the best!

I can tell why, 'because you must be breastfeeding'.... when you do that, thats exactly what happens....  the only way to stop it, is to put him on formula...........  the baby may wake up once at that time, and you just give them more formual...................  and you will be the one sleeping.

what has worked for me with baby Lola is having a fan or  a heater (if its cold) going to provide the white noise also some music baby likes...Lola sleeps with me so when she wakes up i just nurse her while she is next to me and she usually goes back to sleep. She is almost 5 months and wakes up maybe once or twice to eat then goes right back to sleep i don't change her unless she needs it.

I agree with "southerncharms" mom and try to feed him some cereal before you put him down. maybe let him wash it down with some breast milk? Madison was this kind of baby too, she was my breast baby for 1 year. Mabel was a formula baby (because my milk didn't come in) and she was the same way with the waking up stuff. being breast fed has nothing to do with it. just imagine if you also had to worry about bottles and nipples in the middle of the night too!!  keep up the B feeding! Ill be lucky if I can do it again! maybe put on some music that he seems to like on.. use a lot of baby powder so he doesn't feel so icky in the middle of the night?  anyhooo. good luck!
