My ectopic pregnancy!

Ok so I have decided to tell my miscarriage story, now that things have gotten back to normal, and I'm feeling alot better.  Well 2 weeks ago today I found out I was pregnant.  We'd only been trying for alittle over 2 months, which means we got pregnant right after trying, which was a shock.  But anyways not even a week later I started having severe pain in my side, kinda where my right ovary is.  I figured it was a cyst, and wasn't too worried.  There was no spotting so no big deal.  Well my son's birthday party was this past saturday, and after his party I started spotting.  Well we were 3 hours away from our house, staying with my family, so I just waited it out.  The spotting stopped by the time I went to bed, and then by the time we got home monday evening I was starting to bleed heavily.  My husband was already in bed and he wouldn't wake up so I went to the hospital by myself and left him a note.  Well I got to the hospital and was taken back immediately.  They did a urine test, b/c they tried telling me that I probably got a false negative, and the bleeding was my period.  Well they found out I was pregnant and did an ultrasound, and a pelvic exam.  They also did a bunch of blood test... they pricked me 6x, it's always hard to find a vein on me.  Well doctor comes back and says he's not sure that he's going to call an ob, b/c there is no sign of a pregnancy in my uterus, but there is something near my right ovary but he couldn't tell what it was.  Well ob comes and tells me that they are pretty sure it's an ectopic pregnancy, that the spot by my ovary is most likely the baby forming in my tube.  She gave the option of giving me a shot to end the pregnancy then or wait 2 days, but then risk rupturing my tube.  She said my pregnancy hormone levels were at 60, and in a normal pregnancy they double every 48 hours, so they should be in the thousands.  So even if it won't an ectopic pregnancy I was going to have a miscarriage anyways, because it just wasn't a normal pregnancy.  By the time I agreed to do the shot my husband had arrived... it was 6AM.  They did the shot and I was leaving by 7:30!  I have to go back tomorrow to make sure my hormone levels went back down.  I honestly believe everything happens for a reason, and even though I was really looking forward to this baby, I know for whatever reason it wasn't meant to be.  They said we can try again in 3 months.  Not sure if I will want to, when the 3 months is up, but we will see!

*hugs*

I had 2 miscarriages before I got pregnant with my twins, so I know what it's like. The first one, I was 4 months along, the second, I was 2 months. They were 6 and 7 years ago, but I still think about them.

I say wait out the 3 months and then, try if you are up to it.

Sorry about your loss. It's never easy no matter how far along you are! I hope next time things go smoothly!

Wow! you must have a high pain tolerance. Most people that have ectopic pregnancies can not handle the pain. I've heard of people passing out and stuff. I'm sorry about your loss. I understand miscarriages. I've had quite a few, but never an ectopic pregnancy.
