Sad and happy at the same time- kinda long

  MY SO has been looking for a job since January (his job went out of business) and he finally got one. that's the happy part He's finally going to have an income so maybe I'll finally get the ring (s) I've been hinting at. We're finally going to be moving in together, in a round about way.

  Now for the sad part, he'll be an over the road trucker. He starts his refresher course this Monday and should be done in 2 weeks. He has a for sure job with the company he used to drive for before ( they promised him a job already) Once he starts I won't see him for almost 2 months  and rarely after that (maybe every other weekend). I'm hoping he can get something local instead, but at least he has something we just have to deal with the sucky part of the job.

 I love him and trust him and he feels the same about me so that's not an issue. I'm going to miss him and beside I'm losing one of my free babysitters. I'll have to depend more on my parents and they live 20 minutes away so gas is REALLY going to suck.

that does suck. I can relate, my hubby is a car-hauler. When we married 5 yrs. ago he was on the "short board" meaning all local deliveries.   Lately he's been on the road going all over the country, but he's only gone for a week at a time.  It's like being a single mom again
