I'VE ALTERED SCREEN NAME WITH X'S AS  SO IT DOES VIOLATE CM GUIDELINES!

ALL COMMENTS THAT ARE RUDE, AND ARE NOT SIGNATURES("I AGREE WITH YOU" COMMENTS, SAYING "SIGNING" OR BUMPS THOSE TO ARE ALL SIGNATURES!!) WILL BE DELETED TO KEEP THE PETITION FREE OF NEGATIVE COMMENTS!

I REALIZE YOU GUYS TAKE OUR SAFETY IN TO GREAT CONSIDERATION, AND BECAUSE OF THAT, HAVE DISABLED THE RIGHT CLICK AND SAVE OPTION, WHICH IS GREAT.... BUT IT'S NOT ENOUGH. IT BY NO MEANS TAKES A ROCKET SCIENTIST TO FIGURE OUT THE DRAG OPTION.

I HAVE RECENTLY BEEN NOTIFIED THAT MY PICTURES ARE FLOATING AROUND ON MYSPACE SOMEWHERE, AND WHO KNOWS WHERE ELSE.... I WAS NOTIFIED BY THE PICTURE THIEF. I DON'T KNOW HOW MANY CAFEMOM ACCOUNTS THIS PERSON HAS, I DON'T KNOW HER TRUE INDENTITY - ALL I KNOW IS THAT SHE IS SICK, AND THAT I CAN'T FIND MY PICTURES...... OR MY SONS......

i don't know if you posted this in other areas of cafemom, like your groups or in the journal section, but i would if i were you, because sometimes i don't get to this section i just happen to look at it today for some reason but i'm glad i did, please post this where ever you can so that everyone here at cafemom can know what's going on. i will post this with the groups that i joined and hope that other's will do the same to help you get the word out. sorry this had to happen there are just some sick and creepy people in this world.

I agree. BUT to some of the other "signers" out there: Five years ago, I had my identity stolen in real life, except for part of my name. I put a flag on my social but my credit was destroyed. I didn't have the money to get a lawyer or fly back to the state I had moved from to even begin to look into it. I moved back to my home state just over a year ago. Today, LITERALLY today, I went to Sears to apply for a credit card (just got married yesterday and we wanted a larger TV). The lady asked about my last name and I thought it was weird it would show up when she then asked if my last name was still "Miller" the chosen "married" name of my theft. I am contacting Sears' litigation department first thing Tuesday.

DO NOT PUT YOUR FIRST AND LAST NAMES HERE! People are out there everywhere just waiting for someone vulnerable: they see you post your full name and start to chat you up, becoming your "friend" on here and you unknowingly can give them just enough information to screw you- for a VERY LONG TIME. I don't know when or if this will ever be fixed for me- don't put yourselves in that position.

This is been going on so long I really don't think Cafemom plans on doing anything about it either, not only is it sick women but also men. Yes we have men here on Cafemom. And why, because why not? They have no way of telling if they are a man or woman when they sign up they don't even have to verify their e-mail. Even myspace does that.

Its not just people stealing pictures its them being able to come back on over and over and make new accounts and Cafemom can't do a thing about it. Or won't. Go to the group Safe Haven Mommies its a group that has been made to notify the members of any strange accounts and their are plenty. Go check it out you'll be surprised at the weird people on here posing as moms of multiples and so forth. Its sad they have nothing better to do than pretend they are someone else. I feel better being in the group because they add people every week so it keep us updated with the wackos on here.

All it takes is a face to put on another body!!! Now I know why my son-in-law has asked me NEVER to post any pics of his fam. Now I am going to take them off & I feel terrible because I have posted a couple. Yes, you take a chance but have to ask yourself - do we have the RIGHT to post even our own pics of our kids & put them in that position?

As far as "copyright" rights, if you took the pics they are copyrighted by you. They BELONG to you & claiming them by anybody else is copyright infringement. Guess I'll be taking my pics off & hope is not too late tho I can see they have not been looked at but once or twice. Most pics all you have to do is right click on them & "save target as" & drop it into any photoshop program. SICK!!!!!

i 100% agree with you. there is no reason that anyone should be able to save pictures that are on this site.

i too had a problem like this but it was my friend's myspace page. my friend posted pics of me and my children up on her myspace account after i told her not to but because only her friends could see them so she thought it was alright. NO IT WASN'T ALRIGHT. i don't post pics of me nor my family online because i have a stalker. and needless to say the stalker made a fake profile got on my friend's myspace friends list and now has pics of me and my children all over the stalker's myspace account and god only knows where else.

After I read this yesterday I received a friend invite with a message asking to see my pics. When I clicked on the name (CHRIS2009) the profile had been deleted. What's wrong with people?? The message didn't sound right at all... The profile was gone within an hour of sending me the message.
