If you had been told to have a c-section because of personal health reasons, that would be passed on to your baby if a vaginal delivery took place.  would you still have baby vaginally? Or would you go with c-section?  I feel very sympathetic toward the baby .

Seeing as how I had two c-sections, my answer would probably be perceived as biased. I'll have to say that I would automatically choose c-section without a thought if it meant giving my baby the best possible outcome. (in regards to my own 2 c-sections, my first one was because labor stalled after two days. My DH's head was too big to pass through and plus I had a grape-sized cyst blocking part of her way down the canal. My 2nd c-section was because my insurance would not cover midwifery care-too expensive. The doctor I was assigned to strongly advised that I go with a planned c-section to avoid possible uterine rupture, which I was very concerned about)

Jun. 1, 2008 at 1:25 AM I hope that this can be a popular post and get a lot of positive feed back. Because this is a growing problem within the teen age / younger moms making the right choice for baby .

Jun. 1, 2008 at 1:28 AM Personal health reasons? Can we get an example? If my Doctor advised that way I would.

Jun. 1, 2008 at 1:32 AM Yes I would dop the c section because if their is a chance the mom could make the baby sick doing a vaginal birth then it is common sense to have a c section...
