yesterday my 5 year old was outside playing in the yard and got bit bye a deer fly. he woke up this morning and his whole foot and ankle are swellen and he can't walk on it. i have been carrying him around (getting worn out already and its only 10-30 in the morning) is there any one out there that can help me get the swollening down so he won't be in pain


please help please please i need advise i have a 3 year old to deal with too an dcna't be tired already!!!!!

Jun. 1, 2008 at 10:47 AM try icing it... also children's benedryl should help, if you have any give it to him now... if no improvement by tonight... pack up and head to the emergency room... this reaction is a little uncommon.. so ice, benedryl, and er if no improvement.... unfortuately that is all you can do... you can also try hydrocortisone cream... good luck

Jun. 1, 2008 at 11:02 AM thats a bad reaction....first you can try to go show a pharmacist the foot and ask him what he suggests you do but most likely he might need to go to the ER.
