I had an appointment with my OBGYN last week.

I had an ultrasound and some blood drawn for testing, to see if I have PolyCysticOvarySyndrome.

The ultrasound showed a normal uterus (yay!) and "Chocolate-Chip-Cookie-Ovaries" (not so good- does anyone know what that means, or did I just see a freak doctor?).

He said that it does LOOK LIKE PCOS, but that they won't make a dx until the bloodwork is back.

It looks like there might be some "Glucophage" in my future... Any tips?  Horror stories?  Anything?

On a side note, Abby was with me and did an AMAZING job at the doctor's office.  WHAT A RELIEF!

Jun. 1, 2008 at 11:04 PM Glucophage *for me anyway* was the medicine from heaven! I tried to lose weight on my own while training for a triathlon...lost like 5 lbs with running, biking, and swimming. Glucophage and I started the couch to 5k program TA DA 60 lbs gone! Then ta-da I got preggo! Seriously! You may have frequent trips to the potty at first but it should decrease your appetite---and if you stay away from the greasy/carby foods your trips potty will be less! LOL let me know how it turns out!
