So as I was cleaning out the huge walkin closet, I found a tons of sheets that don't fit any of our beds. I didn't  find the curtains I thought I had though.

I have been using heavy fleece blankets to cover our windows , one to cut light down, and the other to stop any draft. They were great in the winter, but, now that it is hot out, we WANT the drafts and breezes. So I ws trying to find lighter weight curtains to hang.

Well no curtains, so I measured and cut up some of those old sheets. Made enough to cover the 5 windows in our room.. I had to really small wndows, so I used complimenting pillowcases for those. It works nicely. pics are in pic section--need to finish sewing them, but wanted an idea of how it would look! LOVE THAT I"M HANDY WITH THE SEWING MACHINE!!! lol

I also made some for the kids windows out of old flat sheets. Had enough material left over from mIssy's to make her a kinda toga like dress. She think it is really cute. just cut a head hole, pull over, wrap around and tie! She is in dress-up heaven! the things we can come up with for old stuff. Rather then throw away--repurpose!
