I find myself approaching the end of the school year with mixed feelings.  I am always excited about getting done with another school year, watching the growth of my students and happy to have some time off!

However, it is somewhat bitter sweet as well.  I am going to miss my 8th graders.  One class graduated with my daughter yesterday and my other class graduates this coming Friday. 8th graders are usually a pain in the butt by the end of the year, but they are good kids and I will miss them.

In addition, I will be saying good bye to my foreign exchange student this coming Sunday.  I have truly come to think of him as one of my own children and it is breaking my heart thinking he will be leaving me.  He is planning on visiting over the summer in two years, but that seems so far away.

Yesterday's graduation ceremony and party for my youngest daughter was a lot of fun.  Now she will be moving on to High School.  Next year I will have a freshman in High School, a senior in High School and a Sophomore in college!

How did this all happen?  I am certain I am not any older!  Just to prove it, I am taking all of the teens to an amusement park and riding on all of the rides!  LOL  I love roller coasters!

Isn't it crazy how fast each year goes.  In Dec.  you feel like it is dragging, then you wake up and it is over!
