I am sincerely touched by the thoughtfulness of my co-workers.  They are all wonderful people and have great concern for my and my baby's health.  But nobody can see my baby just yet, unless they walk around with an ultrasound machine.  Several times now, they have come up to be and pet just around my belly button "awe, becka's baby".  No. Becka's gassy bloated intestines.  Please don't touch.  If you want to touch my baby, you'll have to put your hands down my pants, because my uterus still resides a few inches below my gastoinestinal tract.  It doesn't really bother me, and I don't want them to feel like idiots, but I don't think they really are interested in determining how active my GI bacteria might be.  Anybody else on this?

There are people in this world that want to touch a pregnant woman's belly, even if they are showing or not. I don't think there is much wrong with it unless it makes the pregnant woman uncomfortable.
