Make Your Own Sunshine Spell

June 1st, 2008

Color of the day: Yellow
Incense of the day: Heliotrope

We all need a little sunshine in our lives, and that joy can be found in surprisingly simple places, if we only remember to look. Try a few of these ideas this week and see how it affects your experience of life. You might be surprised to see how much happiness you can find by just spending two minutes, twice each day, on one of these suggestions. Take a deep breath, and be thankful that you are able to breathe. Thank the air, the trees, and the plants for breathing with you. Walk around your home and feel grateful that you have a place to live. Look at a weed, tree, bird, or cloud. Feel your connection to this natural object and give thanks that it is here for you now. Thank your friends and pets for sharing your life. Celebrate today, “just because.”

Jun. 2, 2008 at 11:00 AM That is so simple and I do that everyday of life....I feel that life sometimes is to short and if you do not remember to say thank you for the gifts we are given, then it is time to reflex within our lives of the blessing we have been given. Thank so much for this, Kim

Jun. 4, 2008 at 2:40 PM I've been doing this recently.  I've noticed that when everything seems so dark and theres nothing to be thankful for, if you simply find something, ANYTHING to give thanks for , it will automatically lift your spirit

Jun. 5, 2008 at 10:25 PM that's a wonderful thing to do. It's funny, i've already found myself doing that lately. It does lift your spirits and puts things into perspective.
