She was such a precious little thing...just about 6 or 7 pounds, a little Pomeranian.  We've had her for almost a year now.  We live on a farm, and she has always been very good about staying in the yard, but as summer has been nearing, I have noticed her occasionally wander a bit more to the road.  Unfortunately, I trusted that she would stay away from the road, and let her out this morning to potty without being outside with her (a common thing to do), I shouldn't have.  She was trying to cross the road and a car hit her.  At least I know she didn't suffer, she died instantly.  My 11 yo is very devastated, and has gone through lots of tears, and lots of emotional back and forth, sometimes she's angry at Cinniminni, for going on the road, and then she'll be angry at herself, for not teaching her to stay off the road, or just completely sad because she's gone.

We had a little ceremony this morning, where we read from the bible, said some prayers, and then talked about things we remembered about Cinniminni.  It was helpful.

Tracey, I'm so sorry!  And I was hoping that you would end up breeding her.  Poor kids!  I think that is so awesome that you did a little ceremony for her.
