Ok...So this being home alone for the day thing SUCKS! Rosie was outside barking up a storm. I ignored it for a few minutes as she is always treeing squirrels. So I decide to look out the window, just to see what she had going on. She was right at the front door steps going CRAZY! I stepped out and looked over the rail. There it was. A snake nearly as long as I am tall. So I call my hubby, who btw is 100 miles form home. I tell him to call the neighbor to come get rid of it. I was afraid to shoot it because it was right against the bricks of the porch. Soooo, the neighbor comes and says...oh, it is just a chicken snake. So he is gonna chase it off. It goes right up the drain pipe on the house. We have screen on our gutters, so now the snake is just up there in the pipe. eeeewwwweeeee!!!!!

Jun. 1, 2008 at 6:09 PM lol well at least you didn't hav it in your bathtub like I did when i was preggo with youngest. I was about to get a bath when I heard somethign fall in the tub, i was already in the bathroom talking to sister on phone and peeing lol ( i know that is family love rofl). I got up and looked aruodn shoer curtain and saw only 1/3 of the snake coming out of the cover for teh drain lock. I LOST it. all my sister heard was Hell'o pete and i hung up on her as i was running out of house. My neighbor came along with sis and 3 kids and hubby and it was like a 5 ft long black snake, nothing that would hurt me but I was soooo grateful I found him b4  i got my 6 month preggo tail in the tub. I can see that now taking a big buble bath and 2 little beady eyes popping over bubbles looking at me.. BOOGETY

Jun. 1, 2008 at 8:39 PM I would have been fine until I saw it crawl up into the gutter-geez!  Although for the mom who saw it in the bathtub-ewww! I would really have a problem with that!!!  So lucky I only see little black snakes here if any...my mom chopped one up with a butcher knife once! (She gets really crazy with knives-LOL  Always saying, Liz-go get the knife! for a bug, a wasp, a snake...you name it, she hilarious)
