Has anyone on here ever gotten pregnant after having a tubal litigation? I know it's only 99% effective, but I've  never known anyone who actually has.  I'm just wondering what my odds are!

Jun. 1, 2008 at 6:28 PM I wish it would happen to me..... lol....... ---  but with the 'new' procedure that they've been using since at least 1995, they 'cut', the tubes, --  and they told me with this procedure, your not going to get pregnant....  --  It was only the old version, where they actually tied them.... ---

I got pregnant 4 years to the month after mine.  I had a uterine pregnancy that had a few issues of spotting early on, but I delivered a healthy 8 pound 13 ounce baby girl at 38 weeks 1 day. She is now a healthy 7 year old that is growing all too soon quickly. I have 13 years, 8 months and 21 days between the daughters I gave birth to.

Jun. 1, 2008 at 6:35 PM If the operation is 99% effective... then your chance of getting pregnant is one in one hundred. 99% percent, isn't it obvious???

Jun. 1, 2008 at 6:41 PM I just remembered........ my sister-in-law, went back in after her's... and the doctor did surgery to put the tubes back together............ and still no success...........  never was able to have another baby........ as I said............. once the cutting procedure is done........  I don't think there's any going back.... The person who said, they got pregnant..... had to have had the old version......  had to.

Jun. 1, 2008 at 6:49 PM I should mention that mine was done in 1996 after I lost my daughter Cheyenne during my 5th month of pregnancy. From 1983 to 1996 I was pregnant 10 times and miscarried 9 times. Once was twins and the rest were singles. In 1986 I lost my son Sean at 5 months. I gave birth to my oldest daughter in 1987 and my youngest in 2001.

Jun. 10, 2008 at 12:14 PM They say it's 99% effective but my dr. has done hundreds and none of them have ever resulted in a pregnancy, so i think it's pretty much 100%
