I meant for that to rhyme by the way! LOL!

So the weekend has come to an end, but I must say that I had a blast this weekend! I mean we (my hubby, our friends, and I) always try to do something fun every weekend, but some weekends outdo the others.

Friday, the girls and I went to see the Sex and the City movie. Two pregnant women, seven non-pregnant women, and the Sex and the City movie = uncontrollable laugher and non-stop fun! LOL! We had a blast! The movie was GREAT, and being that we saw it on opening night (with a rockin' audience I might add!), that all just made the night even better! We went to dinner at the Olive Garden and laughed and talked and, well, did what we do when we get together. Then we went to see the movie, and then we went back to Katie's and had more girl talk. If you could've seen us you would've sworn we were drunk, but we weren't of course ... that's just how we are. We've all been friends for years and years, some longer than others, but even still, we laugh and have a good time just like we did in the old days.

And for the record, I want to know who said that pregnant women can't go out and have fun? I've read posts and blogs from expecting women saying how they don't go out anymore and have fun, and I just wonder why. I mean I can understand if you're just too tired and don't want to do anything from time to time ... I have those moments too, but to just stay in EVERY weekend? Not me! My husband takes me out every weekend I feel like it, and sometimes when I don't feel like it! LOL! I had some self-esteem issues at one point as most pregnant women do, but my husband and friends gave me so much support and encouragement that that only lasted about a week. I still do almost everything I did when I wasn't pregnant, except drink of course (I didn't do that a lot anyway, but I did have wine on occasion), and horseback ride. I don't think being pregnant means that you should stop living, but that's just me. Anyway, sorry about that little rant.

Well yesterday my husband told me that he was taking me out salsa dancing and I was like "WHAT?!" He was like "Yeah, we're going to merengue and all that good stuff." Okay, the look on my face had to be "Are you crazy?" We took dance lessons before our wedding (one of my aunt's paid for us to have lessons at Arthur Murray so that we could Tango at our wedding!), but they were ballroom classes. Oh, and by the way, we'll be taking them again after Talan is born; they are so much fun! Anyway, no latin dance, but I trust my husband so I said okay. Well again, we had a blast! Before the actual "dancing" began, there were instructors to tutor everyone on the basic rhythms and some of the basic steps. After about an hour of that, the dancing began! We had a ball! I don't know who stepped on whose toes more, me or Ted! HA HA! That was the only painful part of the night, though .... it was wonderful!

Oh and my dress! Everyone wants to see it! I only have headshots of me in it, but I bought it for a banquet that I went to. It's a "swing" dress with a great twirly tail, and I knew it would be great to salsa dance in, and it was! I was twirlin all night! At one point Ted went "Is all of this spinning you necessary?" and I was like "YES, it is!" Anyway here's the dress ...

It's by Isabella Oliver and is called the Duo Swing dress. It was so worth the money, especially since I can dress it up or down. I have it in white like the one above, and I've actually worn it to church. NO, I didn't twirl in it at church! LOL! I do have morals darnit!

So today, hubby and I just layed around and watched movies.

OMG ...

Okay my dad does a little vegetable garden every year. He nornally does tomatoes, lettuce, and peppers, not very much. Well this year he said he'd try squash. My parents had so much squash come up that it was ridiculous! Anyway I'm a vegetable lover and so is my husband, so we got a bunch of it. Well my husband said he was going to fry some today. Well that's not unusual, but what he fried it in is. He came back from the store with Zatarain's fish fry. I was like "What are you doing with that?" "This is what I'm going to fry the squash in." I gave him what he calls "the look" and he goes "Don't give me that look, trust me!" He's Italian so he's generally right when it comes to cooking. OMG, good doesn't even cut it! He cut it into thin strips and fried it in that fish fry and it is mmmm mmm good! LOL! I ate way too many, but hey, I'm eating for two! Then I did a sweet potato soufle (with marshmellow of course) for dessert. We had some rice and string beans as well.

Anyway, I just wanted to blog a little and share the photo of my dress since a lot of people wanted to see it. I hope you all had a great weekend as well! Talk to you next time!
