My child brought new meaning to "going on the pot" today.

As a few of you probably know, we've been having some issues with my daughter playing in our bathroom. First it was the clogged toilet, then this morning it was glowing pink nailpolish all over our tile floor...Needless, I had had just about enough and shut our bathroom door-which has one of those knob protector things on it.

Well,  my childmade a few attempts to get into the bathroom. I figured she was just trying to cause mischief so I told her no. She fussed and cried so I thought for sure that was the issue. As some background, she loves to cook. She has caused quite the mess more than once trying too cook. Her worst being french toast on our living room table. Anywho, today she was pretending to cook her father's sunflower seeds. I heard those get dumped into the trash and went to observe what her next "culinary" treat would consist of.

I found my not even 2 year old daughter SITTING on the saucepan, her little tush fitting perfectly upon it. Very proudly she stands up to show me what she had done. She had, in fact, "gone on the pot". Or in it I should say. She flippin pooped IN MY SAUCEPAN!

What in the world do you do? I started to laughing while walking the "present" to the toilet with her. I couldn't quite get through to her that while she make think that's where we can go-we can't. I don't quite know what I'm going to do with said-sauce pot...but yeah. I think I'm going to stage it again-without the poop-and take a few photos. I see a funny scrapbook page.

Oh kid sure does have a creative mind.

Jun. 1, 2008 at 8:17 PM You both are right! It was too funny and in a away I'm impressed at that. We're trying to potty train so we keep her without a diaper most of the time...and usually she does poop on the floor and will insist on a diaper and will go in that. I've been  working very hard on NEVER being mean or negative about her pooping on the floor. I just calmly explain that it goes in the toilet, not on the floor and she removes it from wherever it shouldn't be puts it in the toilet and carries on about her day. It seems to be working well for us! And there isn't an ounce of stress with her potty training! :-)
