This makes me want to never watch ABC again!  Wow, someone finally
stood up for
what they believe in and the response from ABC should be answered by
all of us!
Not Funny, not at all!

Texas Coach speaks out

Jim Neugent is a coach in Childress , Texas .

Jim writes:
My name is Jim Neugent. I wrote to ABC (on-line) concerning a program
called 'THE PRACTICE.' In last nights episode, one of  the lawyer's
mothers decided she is gay and wanted her son to go to court and help
her get a marriage license so she could marry her  'partner.'   I sent
the following letter to ABC yesterday and really did not expect a
reply, but I did get one.

My original message was:

ABC is obsessed  with the subject of homosexuality.   I will no longer
watch any of your attempts to convince the world that homosexuality is
OK.  ' THE PRACTICE' can be a fairly good show, but last night's
program was so typical of your agenda. You picked the 'dufus' of the
office to be the one who was against the idea of his mother being gay,
and made him look like a whiner because he had convictions. This type
of mentality calls people like me a 'gay basher.'

Read the first chapter of  Romans (that's in the Bible) and see what
the apostle Paul had to say about it.... He, God and Jesus were all
'gay bashers'.   What if she'd fallen in love with her cocker spaniel?
Is that an alternative life style? (By the way, the Bible speaks
against that, too.)
--Jim Neugent

Here is ABC's reply from the ABC on-line webmaster:

How about getting your nose out of the Bible (which is ONLY a book of
stories compiled by MANY different writers hundreds of years ago) and
read the declaration of independence (what our nation is built on),
where it says 'All Men are Created equal,' and try treating them that
way for a change!

Or better yet, try thinking for yourself and stop using an archaic
book of stories as your lame crutch for your existence. You are in the
minority in this country, and your boycott will not affect us at ABC or
our freedom of statement.

Jim Neugent's second response ! to ABC:
Thanks for your reply. From your harsh reply, evidently I hit a
nerve.  I will share it with all with whom I come in contact.
Hopefully, the Arkansas Democrat Newspaper will include it in one of
their columns and I will be praying for you.

It is sad what the world is coming to, it is shameful what the media is teaching our children through their programing, mothers gaurd your children n their soul, God has entrusted u whit them protect them n teach them right from wrong

Jun. 1, 2008 at 10:42 PM I say yea for ABC to holding up the right to equality. If you don't enjoy the shows, the answer is simple, don't watch them, or turn the channel. Jesus spread a message of love and peace, not matter what, so I think you do him a disservice by calling him a gay basher. Gay bashers spread hate and intolerance and in my opinion are no better than Nazis, or the KKK. Just my opionion you understand.

Good for Jim Nuegent!  I'm getting sick of having favorite shows ruined because they have to have a new gay person in it.  And even if Jesus spread a message of love and peace, that doesn't mean he couldn't hate the gay lifestyle.  There are a couple of cities in the Bible that were destroyed because of homosexuality, and it is talked about numerous times (about not being gay) throughout the Bible.  Why should we have to accept things that aren't normal?  Maybe we should start loving people that "love" little kids?  It's all about the love and peace.  Do they deserve equality, too?

Gay people don't harm anyone! How can you even possibly compare the two?  Who are you to say what's "normal"?

 Kathy-PSPR :

If gay was normal, why is it that people had to hide it for years?  It is only now becoming "okay" to come out of the closet?  It wasn't accepted and most people still don't accept it.  Unfortunately for the people that don't, they HAVE to.  God forbid you aren't politically correct.  Why should I have to think that it's normal for men to like men?  I'll try to put this in a non-Biblical way for you... They aren't even made with the sexual organs to love each other.  There's a reason men have penises.  It's to put them into vaginas.  Buttholes are for pooping, not sex.  That would be why it's taboo to have anal sex.  And what about women?  They LIKE having stuff put in there.  That's why they have to buy dildo's, vibrators, and strap-on's.  If they like that so much, why not let a MAN do that?  It's an artificial penis!

As for men "loving" little kids, somewhere in their crazy, twisted minds, they don't think they are harming anyone.  Yep.  It's a perversion.  Could it be possible that there is something not quite right in a gay person's head?  The pervert that likes little kids is just finding a way to express how he loves, just like a gay person is expressing how they love.  One likes it with little kids, one likes it with the same gender.  You're right, it wasn't the best comparison, simply what came to my mind at the time.  I'm saying maybe neither one is normal.  No, I don't think gay people hurt anyone.  Do you understand?  And last, maybe I'm not the one to say what's normal, but are you?  Because it seems that you are saying maybe you would know better?

Jun. 6, 2008 at 3:19 PM Everyone does know that that program has been out of production for years now, right? But regardless, and no offense to the poster, I wonder if this is accurate information or just something that was made up by someone and passed along as truth. If it is true, while I don't think the response by ABC was very professional, I would commend them for their stand.
