Hello all. I noticed these little dots on my daughters head the other day and they have been getting bigger. I thought at first they might be little pimples or something but i just dont know. Maybe i am just being a worry wart, but i cant help it. as a mom thats just what i do. I thought also they might be chicken pox, but she got the vaccine 6 months ago and these are the only 2 spots. also, they dont seem to be itchy, but more sensitive or painful cause she doesn't like me to touch them. She loves to play outside so i was thinking it may be some sort of insect bite... i just dont know. any ideas?

Now before people start telling me to stop asking mothers and bring her to the doctor, i would just like to say that i will do just that if they get worse over the next few days. Also, i know that moms have seen just about everything when it comes to this sort of thing so i appreciate the input.

Jun. 1, 2008 at 11:14 PM lol being an outdoorsy kind of mom with four i can say with almost 96% accurancy that they are bug bites.  Use neo or calamine and they should disappear like a bite.  :)

I would say bug bite at first glance, but if thy dont get better or more start to show up go to the Dr and if they dont know what it is ask to try allegra-its an allergy med. Sophia gets spots that look like a bug bite, but they then blister and ooze-looks like impetigo. I forget what they call it, but Allegra works.

Try using benedryl creme for now, our pharmacist told us to give Sophia 1/4tsp benedryl today cause she got bit by mosquitoes and is apparently allergic to them, they swelled so bad it was pretty bad. Good luck.
