I am not really sure how to start this post, other than to say I am basically venting about something that just seems to vex me. I am a Christian, I love the Lord and in doing so I believe I am to walk in love with everyone, whether they are the same as me different than me nicer than me meaner than me, etc. It irks me to hear people who I know are Christians, admonish someone who may not be a Christian, for their behavior, example, what they  watch on t.v., and the turning around and making racist comments a few minutes later! Duh! That's why a lot of people don't like us! So many people have experiences with a "religious" person whose mouth gets in the way of helping someone. Maybe their  hearts are in the right place, but I think a lot of people are turned off by Christianity because of Christians, yes we are not perfect, but we should let people know that. I miss the mark a lot, and the more I miss it themore I know I need God's grace and guidance to get me through. I don't want to give the impression that I think I am better or that my life is perfect because I am saved. I am redeemed, b/c I am saved, I am able to move forward because of God's grace, but I don't believe I am called to judge people either. Unchurched people, They think we are all out to judge and hypocrites, so not walking in love! I know that there are things that are unacceptable to the Lord, but I believe that  God gave each of us a conscience, and that it is our business to show the love of Christ to all people around us, and let that love draw them into a relationship with God, as their relationship with God grows, HE will speak to their hearts about what it is that needs to change, just as He speaks to my heart about what is wrong w/ me. I am sure that this isn't coming out as eloquently as I would like, I just think in my head that a lost person will not be running into the church of a person who is shaming them for their sin in one breath and speaking words of hate and ignorance in the next, what;s that scripture about the speck and the log again?Sorry just had to vent a minute...

Jun. 2, 2008 at 1:21 AM It happens all too often. I think they call it "Sunday Christians" because that's the only time they act like it.

The problem I have had with Christians is the you are not a Christian and whatever you believe is wrong, therefore you will go to hell...

I understand trying to "spread the love of Christ", but when I say and show no interest, and it keeps getting shoved down my throat, then I get annoyed...

I know not all are like this, but just about every one of them I have met is like this, judgemental because we do not share the same faith...

Jun. 2, 2008 at 2:10 AM I guess my point is, whatever we believe, we are all flawed and fractured in one way or the other, and I pray that I am not coming acrrosed as a hypocrite to the eyes that are on me, that whatever legacy I leave, it begins and ends with  th truth... God loves you, whoever reads this God loves You, whether you believe in Him or not, whether you recieve Him or not, God loves you, and because He loves you because He loves me, I need to be an example of love in my words actions and deeds, if you don't hear his voice, if you don't see His face, I give my voice, to speak the words, my face to smile and my heart to be sincere and show you that He loves You,

Jun. 2, 2008 at 8:49 AM Hear, Hear!!!  Good words are worth repeating!!!  We all need to be reminded "Except for the Grace of God go I"  meaning we are all sinners, and we all need God's grace, so we would be in the same boat. lol   I have to say, though, if I am asked a question, point blank, by a non-believer, I am going to do my best to give the truth in love.  No one needs to be reminded how retched their lives are, we need to be reminded how good, wonderful, and free God's mercy and grace is.

I understand your point exactly my Sister,

We as the body of Christ, we need to be very, very prayerful and careful, for the devil our adversary's walking the earth back and forth, to and fro' seeking whom he may devour......And once we act on behalf of our fleshy minds we're actually giving the devil a foothold over our lives.......

Some of us have come real close to going to hell, But God had Mercy on us, because we've been Sons and Daughters of disobedience, having followed every kind of doctrine, and yes including me.......

We just have to storm the Heavens with prayer, prayer, and more prayer.

Everything's coming to pass, for we're living in the Last Days'
