I have a touch of insomnia so bare with me.

Two woman are giving birth at the very same moment.  One is in Los Angeles and the other is in NYC.  It's 11:00pm in CA but it's 2:00am in NY.  Although the babies were born at the very same moment in time, they weren't.  The NYC baby will always be considered a day older than the LA baby.

I was born at 10 something at night on April 18th in California...there are thousands of babies out there from the Mountain time zone through to the international date line that may have been born around my exact time of birth but will always be considered a day older than me by being technically born on April 17th.

Our bodies are exactly the same age, just not our time zone.

Right now it's June 2nd at 3:15am Eastern (where I now live)...there are babies being born in Hawaii and Alaska that will celebrate their birthdays on June 1st all because of time zones.

This is what you get when you can't sleep and just as you fall asleep, your child walks into your room soaked from accidentally peeing their bed...and you can't get back to sleep.

Jun. 2, 2008 at 3:22 AM I know exactly what you mean, im due in january and currently 9 hours ahead of my home time on the west coast (im in germany) so when the news of the new baby arrives it will be most likely 9 hours after i have the baby.. so its like saying "Oh my grand child was born at 11am" and having people go "lady its only 8am, how could your grand child be born yet" kinda crappy if you ask me
