dobby was getting better saturday, and the vet wanted to keep him till monday to continue giving him fluids.

the vet called this morning and said that dobby died at around 6:30 last night.

said that sunday morning when he checked on him, he was slower and that by sunday night he had died.

no answers, no reasons. he just died.

we went through this two years ago with 2 puppies we got over the summer. Jason and I had decided that for easter we'd give emma a cocker spaniel (jason's mom's a breeder) so we got her the first one. He was beautiful!! He was only five weeks old and soooo pretty....

he was fine for about a week. Then I came home from work one day and he was just dead. No answers...... the rest of his litter was fine btw

so about a week later, we got another puppy from her. This one was about four months old, we named him Butterball because he was round.... super cute...

lived about two weeks. Then he got sick, we took him to the vet. He died while jason was there. Jason lost it.... he cried for days about that dog....

jason and I are both very emotional people and we don't handle dead animals very well at all....

dobby is going to hurt worse because I've been bottle feeding him since his birth..... so far I haven't thought about it too much.....

**I'm giving away his mom (black) if anyone's interested**

**then I'm having the remaining outside cats fixed**

we honestly don't need any more animals around here

thanks for reading ladies

(((to you all)))  I can not imagine what you all are going thru, it was hard losing my cocker spaniel when I was in nursing school, I can not imagine how Emma is feeling :-(  (((everyone)))

Jun. 2, 2008 at 9:56 AM Sorry about your kitty.  That's odd that you are having to deal with these losses so often.  Hope it doesn't happen again.  :(

i am so sorry to hear about your loss.  i am a cat lover and having the others fixed is the best thing to do.  i used to take in strays that i fed on my porch and i took the one in (grown) and it ended up that he had leukemia and infected one of my other cats.   poor little dobby.  i hope they had given him something for the pain or that at least hydrating him helped with it.  i also am a very emotional person.
