Potty Training NEED HELP!

I am trying to potty train my son, we are doing ok for the most part but when it comes to the poopy part, things aren't going so well. I can't seem to get him to go in the potty, he wants to go in his pull-ups and then tell me he has to go potty! I keep telling him that he has to poo poo in the potty not his pants, but it is like he is not getting the concept. What should I do, should I change the way I am training him? For the most part he will pee in the potty, we really got that down-pat in about a month, (we have accidents here and there). It is hard to stay on track with him to because he goes to daycare 5 days a week while I am at work, ( I hate it but that is how I get my bills paid). If any of you moms have any advice or tricks please let me know. I am all new at this and would love some help. Thank You!!!

I used a book called TOILET TRAINING IN LESS THAN A DAY and it really worked well, he got the concept in a day, but it took a few weeks to tweak it.

Also, you may just have to bite the bullet at home and put him in underwear. When they wet in underwear it is uncomfortable(usually) and they have to stop to be changed.  When mine used to poop in their underwear I would have them HELP me wash out the poop in the toilet. I did it the first time and then made them help me by holding hte underwear and dunking it int he toilet.

BOY that got their attention.

Jun. 7, 2008 at 8:00 AM I too did the underwear approach at home and I work 5 days a week as well during the school year.  It worked very well especially if you only assist when it comes to accidents.
