I know someone else will eventually be in the same situation so if you read this you can contact me if you need someone to talk to about this.

My husband was in AIT (Army Training) the time my first daughter was born and they would not let him come home. He saw her when she was two months old for the first time.

The second daughter he was in Iraq and missed the birth by three days.

The difference was the first birth I had my sister, mom and best friend with me. This time I gave birth in an ambulance and the only person there was the paramedic. I also gave birth in Texas, not Ohio where all my family is.

It was very upsetting no lie to have to be all alone but the reward is two beautiful, healthy babies.
