Jun. 2, 2008 at 5:33 PM My name, Angela, from the original Greek means "messenger of God". Latin form is Angelis, from the male name Angelus. Changed to 'Angela' in Britain in the 18th century.

I googled origin of name "Angela" to get this info. I knew what it meant, but didn't know the origin. Pretty interesting stuff.
