I know I just screamed my title at you. I meant to because this is how much I hate Walmart.

My husband decided he wanted to try and make a white Russian. He went into the kitchen and there were little black ants crawling on the counter. This happened between doing dishes and the drink being made an hour later.

He sprayed the ants with the non-toxic ant killer, then created his drink.

I came into the kitchen and the ants were still laying in their death pools. I saw a few more ants staggering around.

I asked hubby if we had any more ant killer. No. I needed to venture to the store since he was drinking and were were out of all our insectiscide.

I climbed into the car and looked at the clock. It was nearing 9 pm. I thought quickly of all the places that would be open, then quickly realized that the only place that would have a selection would be Walmart. (groan)

I pulled into the Walmart parking lot. The spaces were packed. I saw people coming out of the store. I smiled, surprised not to see women with curlers in their hair and barefoot men. Everyone looked conventional.

I pulled into a parking spot. I walked into the store and grabbed my shopping cart. I started walking though the store and wondered why the loud racket. Oh crap, I thought, it was my cart. I continued on because I was in a hurry.

As I shopped I noticed cans of Pringles on the ground, clothes covered the isles, and carts full of product abandoned.

I tried to hurry because the lines were all 6 people deep. I decided to grab a few odds and ends while I was there. (rolls eyes at self)

Jump ahead and I payed and was leaving the store. I walked to the exit. There was a lady sitting at that end of the store. She said, "Sorry you can't go out this door." I said, "My car is parked out that exit." She shrugged.

I walked to the other side of the store fuming. I looked over to my side of the parking lot. There were no lights and numerous cars. I feared for my safety.

I trudged on to my car. My gaze fell on a little old lady. She was limping as she grasped her basket. The parking lot was imposing. I slowed down as she wobbled to her car. I was relieved that she was parked next to me.

We spoke as we loaded our groceries into our vehicles. How dare they not warn us.

http://walmartwatch.com/ I have not liked Walmart for years. They mistreat their employees, their customers, and their vendors.

Jun. 3, 2008 at 12:34 AM There are some things about Walmart I like (I was able to get four athletic related clothes for $32) and others I don't, but mostly because of the area where I live.

Our Wal Mart sounds worse than yours, if that's possible. I despise Wal Mart. Everything everyone says about them are true. I know, I worked there for 5 years. Here's another website that might interest you.

Psh. Whatever. I work at Wal Mart currently and I love it. They treat me very well, actually.

They are extremely understanding about my health issues and also about my son's health issues. I'm getting paid more than I would most anywhere else, and I've only been there for 8 months.

I know a lot of people complain about their Wal Mart jobs, but think.... really think.... do you think someone working at K-Mart or Target would feel totally different about their jobs?? No! People don't like to work the lower end jobs!

Also, my store is extremely clean and well kept. You would never find anything in the aisles like you described. We keep that place clean at all times. It really makes me sad that some stores have bad management who let the places get out of hand like that. I'd invite you to come shop my Wal Mart, but I have a feeling you'd just see what you want to see anyways so...

And finally, one last thing... Do you know how much Wal Mart does for the community and the environment? The store I work in (and many others across the US) use a thing called daylight harvesting. It's where we have skylights used to light up the store while our lights are on sensors so when it's bright outside, they go off. Also, by the end of this month, all Wal Mart stores will carry only concentrated laundry detergent to save packaging. This keeps harmful chemicals from being released into the atmosphere in numbers that are far more substantial than you would imagine.

OKay. I'm sorry to hijack your post like this... I'm just very passionate about Wal Mart. I wish more people would be open to the possibility that not everything you hear is true.

Isweetheart1985  I am glad your walmart is good to you.  They are horrible to most employees.  I hope your insurance program through walmart is great!

I do know several people who work for target and love the company.

Walmart does not help the environment, they try to make it look like they help the environment.  They are what you call green washers.  I went to buy some green cleaning products and all they had was Clorox  new version of "green" products.
