Yesterday my brother and his wife came down to visit. I can't stand my sister-in-law. She can be a real bitch. She wants to control everything and tries to take over with my baby. For example, Nathan (my baby) is extremely hot natured like me and can't be wrapped up in blankets; well my sister-in-law thinks she knows everything and tried wrapping him up snug and said "babies love to be warm". Well I flat out told her he's my baby and he is hot natured! OOO and then she really pissed me off. Lucky (my other baby) was trying to jump on the couch to make sure Nathan was ok (he's extremely protective of Nathan). Anywho she smaked him down and said that she didn't allow animals on funiture. I said well he's allowed on MY funiture and she was like well I don't allow them on funiture. I was thinking to myself "LADY WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE? THIS IS MY HOUSE AND MY RULES!!!!" I probably shoulda said that too but I didn't want to cause a confrontation. I do know this though, if they come down for a visit again they ARE NOT coming to my house....we can meet them out somewhere. Blah some people are real tools!

Jul. 13, 2008 at 11:22 AM I can sympathize I have a bitch for a SIL too.  Only she such a wimp she has her DH call mine to bitch about whatever it is.   I think she finally has learned after 10 years to back off.  At first I read your post as they were jumping on her furniture.  Screw that your house your rules.  If you were there it would be different.  Heck we allow balls thrown in our house.  Most think I am crazy but if I can't stop DH from throwing them how can I stop the kids.  Good luck with your SIL just stand your ground now because otherwise you could end up like me waiting 10 years to finally say back off.
