Yep.  I was a bookworm.  I'd sit for hours with a bag of raw carrots and a good book.  I SO wanted to be Laura Ingalls Wilder!  Or Princess Eilonwy from The Chronicles of Prydain.  LOL

Jun. 3, 2008 at 3:45 AM My Moma taught me how to read before Kindergarten.  I remember learning how. My Children, even the ones that were disabled, all read great. I taught them the same way with a few differences than My Moma. I used to put up words and words with shapes and colors and flash cards. I had them write as soon as they got interested too-did'nt matter that they scripted or printed-whatever they were comfortable was fine. I believe that way more than restricting a skill.  I was the same way-I could print and script before Kindergarten. ////
