So my ex came over yesterday to talk about the baby. We have been broken up since 2 days before I found out I was pregnant, we just aren't right for each other. Well, things got a little heated and he got pissed at me, and hit me in the stomach and knocked the wind out of me. I went to the dr and I have a small placental tear, and the dr says it should go away on it's own. My ex has NEVER been violent with me. This was the first time, but this one time put things in perspective for me, and there is no way I am going to let him be around my baby once he is here.

Jun. 3, 2008 at 8:31 AM Please tell me you reported this? What he did was way out of line.. It not only harmed you, but your unborn baby.....If he did it this time, it will happen again...No matter if he apologizes over and over... Hope all is well..

Jun. 3, 2008 at 11:13 AM I'm glad you reported it. I'm also glad you're choosing to not involve him in your childs life, that's a smart idea. If you go forchild support, there's a good chance he may go for parental rights, so make sure you document everything. Also, I wish I had never gone for the child support, the little money isn't worth the shit he's putting me through.
good luck

Jun. 6, 2008 at 2:32 PM Hey I just wanted to say good for you. Reporting it was a smart thing. My friend was in a similar situation. She really had it bad for this guy who was no good...he beat her ass a couple of times. She would leave and in a matter of days, weeks ,whatever she would take him back.  She broke it off with him permanantly...for about a year or so, then one night they hooked up. It was only a fling, but weeks later she found herself pregnant. She was so scared. She knew that raising a child on her own would be hard but she also knew the father's abusive history. She decided at that moment she would NEVER EVER tell him! She has raised her child on her own from day one and is a terrific mother. I admire her for her choice because I know she would have never been able to break free of him and his violent ways if she had included him in her child's life. Good luck with everything, and congratulations on your first pregnancy!!
