Well we are about 36 weeks along now and we are just counting down the days when i get to hold my baby for the first time...i am starting to get very anxious...Yesterday at 2:30 am i woke up to two things...a storm outside and what i thought was a horrible pain and my water breaking...when i figured out it didn't break and i realized the pains weren't contractions i decided to drink some water and relax..and try to get back to sleep....i was up until 7am when i finally fell asleep..i then woke up at 8:45 and was debating whether i should go walking with the girls like we planned....i wasn't sure if it was a good idea to go on no sleep...when i went to get out of bed i felt the weirdest feeling in my lower stomach and female area...it was very painful...so i got back in bed....the pain got worst so i went ahead and called the doctor about 2 hours later...after a full day of pain and exhaustion..we determined the baby had dropped ...wow what a feeling :-) its so exciting to know that she is getting ready to come out....it hurt like hell... but the thought of being able to hold her and finally getting to see her makes it all the worth it. My girlfriend said something funny that i would have to agree with "Evict Her"...so i have told the baby she is evicted and she needs to be out by the end of the month hahaha Maybe she will take the hint and come out NOW!! lol Its hot and I'm miserable!! 30 days until her due date and Nathan and I are so excited...I cant describe the overwhelming feeling of knowing that our lives are completely changing in such wonderful ways..and we are so ready for it. The only thing making this whole process so difficult is being so far away from my family..We are a close family and my being so far away from them sucks!! Plus..its gonna suck having to fly all the way to Mass for a baby sitter lol  just kidding :-) Nathans family is all the way in Nebraska and South Dakota...so we have family all over the country...and its tough not being able to see everyone all the time...but we are doing everything we can to keep everyone as involved with this process as possible..through e mail..postal mail..pictures and websites..and we will continue to :-) We love and miss everyone and can't wait for Alexis to meet her new family :-)

Jun. 4, 2008 at 7:37 AM Hi Jaycee!!  Emma has also dropped, but with her it happened over a couple of weeks.  While I didn't have the pain that you had, I had intermittent shooting pains in my pelvic area over the course of a couple of weeks.  Not to mention that every morning when I get out of bed I get those same pains;  when I stand for the first few seconds it feels like she might just fall out.  LOL!!  Hard to explain, but the only thing that comforts me about the pains is that she is getting ready to make her entrance into this world!!  I am so excited and so ready!!  It's been miserable here in Texas, very humid and it's supposed to reach 100 degrees today!!  Thank goodness I'm due one month into the summer, not sure anyone would be able to put up with me otherwise.  Well I'm off, keep us posted.
