The caution thingie is there because I don't know if  "pissing" is a suitable word for everyone.

For most, that title denotes the title of a hip hop song.  In my case, I can feel it in my neck, abs and butt.  Yesterday was my first day of Pilates.

I feel better after making the decision to do it every week.  It's been offered for the base I work on and is free for AD military and their dependents.  I'm still a dependent until late August; after that, I'm only considered Inactive Reservist (IRR) and a Veteran (which still kinda blows my mind away).  Not the point of my post though.

Tomorrow, and every Wednesday after that, is yoga.  They call it Core & Stretch but that's just a title for toga based stretching with exercises geared toward strengthening the lower back ad abdominal muscles.

I can't wait.. even if I feel it more Thursday morning.  My Tuesday, Thursday and Friday routine remains the same; walking around the base (which only takes about 25 minutes).  I rest on the weekends... unless you count the bed sport.  =D

I'm hoping to trim down enough to wear my work pants/slacks are practically sliding off and need a belt by the time we leave in August.  I have 78 days (not like I'm counting or anything) until his EAOS, 79 until we leave and 80 until we're finally home.

I want to look and feel good.  I think this is how I'm going to do it.  I'm also drinking TONS of water; I'm pissing so much it's like I'm pregnant again.  I'm still a plateau of 165 pounds (I'm 5'6" tall); I want to be at least 150 (155 is okay; that's my pre-pregnancy weight).  I don't think I could handle being any less than that.  I take that back; I was 147.5 pounds once upon a time.  I might be able to pull of 145 pounds.  But, 150 is my current ideal goal.

That's awesome you're doing so much! I'm proud of you :)

When you get home, we'll have to sign up for something together. There's a ton of mommy-baby fitness classes and stuff around here. I'm doing hardcore dieting/exercising right now and I won't be done in August by any means :)

AND I have a free gym and pool here. So if you ever want a place to work out, you're always welcome to make the drive over here!

Good luck! (OH, I'm really impressed you're doing yoga and pilates one day after another. I always needed at least a day to rest, lol)

"They call it Core & Stretch but that's just a title for toga based stretching with exercises"

Toga-based stretching? :)

Good for you!  I used to do a 70 minute yoga video every morning before school back in the day, and it really made me feel healthier and happier.  It was good.  Even if you don't start seeing dramatic weight loss, just the actions of it will help you feel better.

(I wish MY healthy goal weight were only 150!  *cry)

dee - Depending on how close/far we are, that would work!  If we end up living in Arvada, it may not be so doable.  =(  There's actually one day of rest between pilates and yoga; today.  I've been wanting to better my body for a long time and now I have the opportunity to do something that I'm starting to enjoy.

Rana - Yeah, "toga" ... I'm not changing it.  =P  I was pretty sure we're the same size.. 150 would be a good weight, I think, (with muscle toning and such) for someone at 5'6" tall.  Oh, and I'm eating lunch after the pilates/walk/yoga, while the metabolism is still going.

Jun. 3, 2008 at 4:45 PM You may feel sore, but it's a good kind of sore, isn't it? I know that's how I view it after a day of working out.  I'm usually exhausted, sweaty and sore afterwards, but it feels great.  I'm just trying to tone up a few areas that I don't feel comfortable with, and trying to lose a few pounds.  And you wanna know something? We both weigh almost the same.  Im 150 now.  I've actually lost about 10 pounds by eating smaller portions. Either that, or my scale is lying to me.  Lol!  I'm only 2" taller than you though.  I should probably start using my pilates DVD I got with my Bender Ball, but I don't feel like it.  =P
