So a few months ago I was feeling really annoyed all the time and really had no interest in having sex and being 23 yrs old and just spending the past year away from my husband i thought that I would be wanting to have sex all the time i called back home to my OBGYN and they told me that I could be having a little post partum depression. But I was so confused because Eva was a year old and I wondered why now has this started. They said with moving and all the other stress could have kind of triggered it. So they told me to see a doctor here in NC because they didnt want to diagnos or prescribe without seeing me. So i did I saw a dr here and she put me on Zoloft. I started to feel a little better but really my sex drive hasnt come back. I recently read in my You: On a Diet that Zoloft can actually decrease your libido and either make you gain weight or make it really hard to lose weight.  My libido def hasnt come back and I have been working out like crazy for the last month and have barely lost 7 lbs.  and I know for some that is a great achievement but it has never been hard for me to lose as long as I am active and eating right. I am going to the gyno on friday to have my yearly and see if i can get switched to wellbutrin.....anyone have the same experience with Zoloft or having any suggestions?

Jun. 3, 2008 at 2:11 PM I am Zoloft, and my libido has actually increased, however when I went on the Z I changed my diet radically, so that might have something to do with it.  I don't know if it affected me in my effort to lose weight, but it has made it easier for me to not binge eat so from that I have lost weight.  Actually i have lost 40 lb since I started Zoloft.  It has taken me a year, but I think its really good.  Give it some time and see.

Jun. 3, 2008 at 9:33 PM We are in the same boat. I have been on anxiety meds for about 5 years now and have a 3 yrd old. I have NO sex drive what so ever and cant loose wait for nothing. Being only 21 and not wanting to have sex, there is something wrong with me. So they started making me try new meds, but you know how that is. It could take a life time trying to find the right one. If you find anything...lemmie know-cause its causing a huge strain on my marriage.
