Just a little post that I thought I would post on here. I have been thinking about it for awhile. It seems in America that we are always complaining about everything. Maybe others in other countries are too. But I seem to think not. I am sure people that are starving in Africa or people in Haiti where only 50 percent  of people can read. I seem to think they are not complaining. What little they have they are thankful for. This post is for myself too, because I sometimes need to remind myself not to complain and to be thankful for all I have. First of all, we have so much to be thankful for.

Education-People may complain about public education but we are fortunate that we are able to go to school and some even on to college. We also have choices too we can send our children to private or homeschool them. We are taught how to read, what a wonderful thing as not everyone gets that.

Food-We are all so close by grocery stores and can walk into a grocery store and get food whenever we want as a lot of stores are open 24 hours. We have enough food and don't have to worry about where our next meal will be coming from. We eat at least 3 meals a day.

Work-We are complaining about our how we don't make enough but in some countries people live on 1 or 2 dollars a day. Can you imagine only living on 1 or 2 dollars a day? We are fortunate that we are able to work and are given the chance to work. That we are not working in a factory somewhere in China for hours and hours only making a few dollars a day.

Technology-We have so much technology that we take for granted too. We have laptops, cell phones, cable, digital television, ipods, etc. We have all this technology in America which we should be so thankful for as some other countries do not.

I hope this post makes others think and remember that we have so much to be thankful for. Why are we complaining. We have access to health, dental, vision and prescription medicine care.  We have wonderful hospitals that provide us will all of our meals, where in some countries people are dying because they don't have the money or the access for pills.

We have access to clean water from our homes, we have indoor plumbing, electric, gas and heating and we even have air conditioning too. Most families have a least 1 car per family. Also we have so much for our children to get involved in, music, sports, arts, YMCA, playgrous, etc. So why are we not thankful? When we have so much here in America and other people in other countires are trying to survive on 1-2 dollars a day, no clean water, and wondering where there next meal is going to come from.

Americans, we need to be thankful for all we have. We are a very blessed country. I think we will be more thankful if we share our wealth with others in need. If that means neighbors, friends, family or people in other states or countries. Then so be it. Why not share the things we do have with others that don't have it. I think that will make us realize just how truly blessed and thankful we are.
