It ain't all it's cracked up to least so far. I'm 8 weeks along (according my ultrasound) and to be honest, I haven't really cared for pregnancy so far. I work nights as a RN so I'm not sure if that is making things worse. That or I just like to tell myself that that makes things worse. Since I don't really care for my job anyways. But I've just been sick and tired for the past month. I'm hoping that my symptoms will subside when the first trimester comes to an end, but what if they don't? I have heard that from so many people. I'm just praying that I'm not one of those women that is sick for 9 months. I seriously don't know how they do it. I hate feeling nauseous, almost more than anything.

So anyways, this is just my little take on pregnancy thus far. I hope things get better. If they don't, I guess I'm just happy to have a healthy baby growing inside of me. That thought is reassuring. :) I hope other's first trimesters are treating them better than mine. Have a good one. Thanks for listening to my thoughts.

Jun. 3, 2008 at 5:07 PM Oh just wait til you feel the baby kick! And when they have hiccups, it's just the greatest thing. i have a friend who is pregnant with her first and she was worried that she would be sick through the whole thing too, but she stopped getting sick at the beginning of her second trimester. Congratulations! You'll be fine and things get better!

Jun. 3, 2008 at 5:30 PM Yeah, you may not be sick by the 2nd trimester, but then you have all this extra weight to carry around.  You legs will get swollen, and you will have purple veins everywhere.  Not too say then you may see some stretch marks.  AHHH!!!!  Pregnancy.  Its hard work!  But its well worth it!  So, hold tight mama, you are going to have yourself a beautiful baby soon!

Jun. 3, 2008 at 5:30 PM I forgot to mention that. I do have a prescription for both Zofran and Phenergan. Which are both great. I just feel a little hesitant to take it all the time. I mean, I'm pretty much nauseous all the time, but what if these meds are good for the baby. I know, a million women take them. But everything I read says that no med is 100% safe. So how can you know? I take them though. The Zofran works best at work cause I don't so sleepy. I cannot wait to feel the baby move! I'm so curious what it's going to feel like. Thanks for the happy thoughts. I'll keep my head up!

Jun. 3, 2008 at 5:39 PM I am sure that your OB would not perscribe you anything that will hurt the baby.  So, if you are feeling sick, then take the meds!  Especially if it helps!  Not too much longer and the 1st trimester will be all done with!  I LOVE YOU FRIEND!

Jun. 19, 2008 at 2:58 PM awwwwwwww it will all be ok! I was sick for awhile too, but thank goodness it got better! I remember the first time i felt the baby "bubble" in my stomach, that was the best! i wasn't very far along, I remember laying on the floor and poking around my lower stomach.....and I felt like bump the size of a plum in my tummy! I was bawling that whole day! That right there made all the sickness worth it! you'll see! I'm so happy for you! I know like 4 people that are pregnant right now! It's baby season, I wish I was one of them ;)
