Stops along the highway of my mind

Angela sad

I kind of flipped out on the baby.
I yelled at her and shook her bouncy chair.
I feel like shit. Stupid PPD shows it's ugly self when I am not ready.
I moved my meds to 5 o'clock.
I guess I still need them.

*hangs head in shame*

p.s. If anyone of you believe in a higher power could you ask them to help me?

Jun. 3, 2008 at 6:45 PM Do you have a support system of family or friends? It is better to lay the baby in a crib let her cry & walk away for a few mins. You are already forgiven because you have asked & admitted a wrong. It is up to your free will if you will learn from your mistake & act in a different manner next time.

I do beleive in a higher power, and I will pray for you.  God bless you.  You are doing right by taking notice to your depression.  Hopefully you have a support network.  Grandma, girlfriend, or even the daddy.   You need to - more than ever- take time for yourself.  Recharge your battery.  Leave the house, go grocery shopping by yourself, go get your hair or nails done, heck-just go sit by a fountain and people watch for a while. You need some "me" time . After all you deserve it and when you return to that beautiful little person you will be a much better mother to him/her. Use your support group.  When you feel like getting angry-get away.  I know you love your baby or you wouldn't be asking for help. So protect that baby from your "bad side" and get away for a while.  Even just an hour. You will be able to put things back into focus-on focus on him/her.    So make a call right now to someone in your network and set up some me time for this week. God bless you.

I think every mother here can admit that they have gotten angry or frustrated with a screming infant. I will be praying that next time you are able to remain calm and remove yourself from the situation. Being a mom is not always easy and no one expects you to be super woman!
