I have to admit that as a child and well into my teen years, I was usually "grounded" which in our house meant you could not do ANYTHING.  No TV, no phone, no outside, no friends over, NOTHING!  The only thing I coulddo was sit in my room and read.  I guess that's where my love of reading was really cultivated.  Now as an adult, I read about one book a week, sometimes more.  My favorite characters when I was growing up varied obviously by what age I was....around eight it was Ramona Cleary, around 10 it was Nancy Drew and so on.  Now I am absolutely hooked on anything written by J.D. Robb (those of you who don't know who this is, it's actually Nora Roberts, but these books are more of a futuristic, action, mystery type of stories).  The main character is Lieutenant Eve Dallas and I have to say I LOVE this character.  She is so complex, strong, scared, brave, etc.  All of the things that I want to be and some of the things I already am!
