I have just returned from my joyful visit to the doctor. I had to have a pelvic ultrasound to check my ovaries for cysts. Big Fun. I never really thought about how weird it is to have an ultrasound when you are not pregnant. No baby hanging around in there! Nothing fun to look at.

The ultrasound tech was a man (of course) and nice.....but there is just something strange about have someone poke around on your gut, while you attempt to make awkward conversation. The conversation (much to my horror) seemed to center around how women's hormones just start to act weird at a certain age. HELLO! I know I have 4 kids, but I am only 29. Why are my hormones treating me this way!!!

Jun. 3, 2008 at 7:31 PM Yep, I've had a few non-preggo u/s over the years. They were transvaginal, too, which I hate and find very awkward even when pregnant. Ugh! It's strange to not have the monitor turned toward you seeing a little baby!
