My heart is hurting

We just got back from the OB. I am supposed to be 8 weeks pregnant now. Two weeks ago, i started to spot. I went into the doctor and they did the HCG tests. The levels were doubling as they should. I did an ultrasound and the baby measured 6 wks 1 day...perfect. The following week I began to bleed again. I went back in to the doctor's and they did another ultrasound and the baby had not grown since the previous week and the heartbeat was very faint. They told me to take it easy and wait for the next week to do another ultrasound. I started talking to the baby and letting the baby know that it was ok and to keep growing and beat it's little heart. I have been eating like crazy, all healthy fresh foods. Basically, doing everything I can to help this baby to progress.

Well, we just got back. The baby has still not progressed past 6 wks 1 day but there is still a faint little heartbeat. My doctor said the prognosis is not good but that he does not want to do anything yet because there is still a heartbeat. I agreed. I have another ultrasound one week from today,

The sad thing is that this poor little baby's heart is still beating. I fear that the baby is hanging on because i am not letting go. I just can't let go. Not yet.

Jun. 3, 2008 at 8:43 PM i wouldnt give up either. as long as he/she has a h/b you keep talking to him/her and telling them to hang in there. i will keep you and baby in my prayers.

Sweetie.... I'm praying for you, your family and your baby.  I pray that next week the ultrasound shows a stong heartbeat and a healthy baby.  Please keep us posted and let me know if you want to talk.  Give big hugs to your hubby and Avonlea.
