I was the strict mom today

I was the strict mom today- Chris got in trouble before we went swimming, he went out the front door again without permission. I made him get money out of his "spend" bank to pay the $1 for his childcare while Payton & I swam. Unfortunately we were an hour early for childcare, so he just sat on the bench for 30min. and got to swim 30 min. but I got my point across And he knew why he wasn't in the childcare room. I think we will be swimming almost everyday this summer...Miss Compliant Payton bends over backward to go, so does Chris.

I want it to be a good summer...I'm hoping that starting off hard-core will help it go nicely.

 I've told them if they are -

• fighting or trying to make each other mad = NO SWIMMING
• not following the rules they KNOW = NO SWIMMING
• not 'obeying first" = NO SWIMMING

They now know "no swimming" is more than a threat!
