Today is the day for no more pacifiers!  Mary has been using a pacifier forever!  (well for 3 years now, since she is 3, lol!)  For the last year it has only been at naptime and at bedtime, but now... today is the day that we are not going to have them any more!  She is going to Build-A-Bear and putting it inside.... so I told her she can now sleep with her pacifiers but they will no longer be in her mouth!  We did this almost 1 year ago on Carol's 3rd birthday and it worked like a charm!  It was a rough first couple of nights, but she now loves her "PacerMonkey" (that is what she calls her Build-A-Bear that she made, it was a Monkey, lol!).  Anyway, I have been talking this trip up to Build-A-Bear like it is going to be the best thing ever and Mary is excited!  We are a couple weeks past her 3rd birthday, but still it is time for no more pacifiers! :)

Jun. 4, 2008 at 9:27 AM OMG, that is the best idea for getting rid of pacifiers ever!!!! My son will be 2 in August and he still uses them for bedtime, and he has a bear from Build A Bear that he loves. I may need to take a trip down to the BAB and make his bear a friend with the pacifier!! Thank you!!
