Right now I have mermaids in my living room! They are swiming around and eating clams and watching over the little sea creatures. On shore I have a racecar driver. The other day they were in China.

The mermaids are my two older girls (8 and 4). The sea creatures they are feeding and taking care of are the twins (10mths). And the racecar driver is my ds (2). The clams remarkably resemble cheerios! lol........

I am just sitting here watching them go on in their own little world. Listneing to the way they talk to each other and watching how their imaginations take them from one place to another. Their personalities are so different and it is evident in the way they play.

I guess, I am just rambling on.....but really watching them just made me feel so wonderful.

I am so thankful for my mermaids and my sea creatures and my racecar driver and my teen that is out of town right now. I am thankful that I was the one chosen to be their momma. With all of their different love languages and their learning styles and communication styles and all. I am amazed how much you can know about one person, let alone 6!

I mean think about it.....you know their every like/dislike, ways that correction gets through to them, the way they receive love the best, the list goes on and on.

That is the awesome thing about being a momma.....you know the itty bitty little things that would not matter to anyone else-but them. You know what makes them happy. You know what they worry about. You know what frightens them. You know how to calm them, soothe them like noone else can.

You know how to cherish their every smile, every never-ending story, every cute little face.

Life goes by so quick. One day they are giving you their first smile. Holding your finger with their tiny hand. And before you know it, they are crossing the couthry.

Make it count. Make every moment count. Get every hug you can. Tell every bedtime story they ask for, before they stop asking.

Take a dive in the sea with your mermaids. Take a drive around the track with your racecar driver. Before they are too big to want to anymore.
