Okay enough already. Here are some of the ways you can use vinegar around the house:

Kitchen-counters, sinks, refrigerator, dishwasher, stove, etc. (not for use on granite countertops)

Bathroom-toilets, mirrors, tub, shower, sink, counter, etc.

Floors-mop with a solution of vinegar and water only if your floors are not sealed as the acidity in vinegar will remove the sealer.

Fabric/Upholstery- including furniture, carpets, curtains, etc. takes out odors naturally

Put in the rinse cycle of your washing machine or in your downy ball to help take out odors and naturally soften your clothes

Put in the Jet Dry compartment of your washing machine to remove water spots.

Great for burns! Takes the sting right out!

Take 1/2 water and 1/2 vinegar and dump on your hair in the shower after you shampoo & condition and then rinse w/ just water to remove build up of products on your hair.

Remove waxy buildup from vegetables/fruit.

Removes rust from metals.

Precautions: Don't get near eyes b/c it will burn. Rinse immediately if this happens.

If anyone has any to add please share it in a reply. I seriously have vinegar in my house at all times and wouldn't know what to do without it. I can't even remember the last time I used a Clorox product!

Jun. 4, 2008 at 7:05 PM Vinegar is also the best thing to use on black mold. The kind you get in your basement from dampness on the walls. It is suppose to kill it more efficiently than clorox.

Ive been cleaning with vinager and baking soda for years.

Also Try getting a bottle of REAL lemon juice make a paste with that and baking soda.  Its great for grease and grime.

Make a paste of vinager/baking soda and salt use it like soft scrub cleanser for you bathtub.  IF you have kids or if you take baths think of it this way, there is no way you can rinse comet and other cleaners out of your tub completely.  When you put your kids in there you may as well just sprinkle some comet in the water.   If you dont get the home made cleanser out......the ingredients are the same that are in bath salts and bath bags...........

Google natural cleaning recipes.  You will come up with thousands!  Ive not had chemical cleaners in my house for years...........

Jun. 4, 2008 at 7:38 PM I'm addicted to baking soda, and using vinegar rocks. Since I've made the switch, I get so irritated with the smell of other cleaning products (well, except Comet, lol). I've also stopped using bleach! I don't have to go back as long as I have those! You'll save maybe hundreds of dollars a year using those instead of conventional items!
