I just got a call from my OB.
Bloodwork is back and I do have PCOS.
She's calling in a prescription for Metformin and gave me directions for how to slowly start up on it.
I've heard it can be hell... and others have said no big deal, so we'll see!
I have an appointment for a month from today to see how it's going.
She said if I'm not pregnant in 6 months they'll reevaluate and look into other options.
How exciting!

just stay near a bathroom the first week :) and yo'ull be fine. you taking twice a day or once? is it extended release? if twice a day take the last one before bed -- that helped with the stomach stuff for me.... you probably will lose weight and your appetite might decrease---which since you want to lose weight are good things--again I swore/swear by it! :) i'm pregnant with my metformin baby due in 42 days!!! LOL

Mkae sure you follow the precautions about the drug like no alcohol. That's the part that sucked for me. MNO's and no alcohol. Everyone else would be drinking but not me :( Your body should get used to it pretty quickly. Are you ttc right now?
