The Little Things

I have changed my life in so many ways this past year and I am so proud of the changes that I have made. I eat better, workout on a consistent basis, drink water, take vitamins, look in the mirror again and feel so strong mentally and physically. These are all wonderful things...but I want to tell you the GREATEST thing about my new life.

I have a new "job" from home. I use the word "job" loosely because it rarely feels like one. I work for an amazing company called Team Beach Body. You may know them from late night-sleepless night- rocking the babies- flipping channels-watching infomercials. They make the workout videos Turbo Jam, Power90, Hip Hop Abs, Yoga Booty Ballet, Slim in 6 and many more. You may or may not know we also sell vitamins, supplements, protein shakes, workout gear etc. In fact there is an entire community of people along with a diet program, fitness suggestions, and tons of accountability in the FREE virtual gym called "WOWY".

You may have heard me talk about all the great things about Team Beach Body before, but I want to share with you something you haven't heard. Something totally personal. My families life has changed because of this company. It is not a "get rich quick" company. It does not make empty promises and it is NOT a pyramid scheme. After 6 months of being an online fitness coach I am bringing in an income that is making a difference to our lives. As a coach I get a direct deposited check every Monday and this past Monday I could hardly wait for it.

Aurora has been asking to take ballet classes. (For months now!) Now we are not a rich family. My husband runs our family business Poop Happens and it is still growing. This is his full time job now. It provides our needs and gets us through each month but it is very hard beyond that to have a lot of the little things. (Which can be the big things in the children's eyes.) No more playing "catch up" with my money it is time for some FUN! So this week I was able to grant my 5 year olds wish and sign her up for ballet. She was tickled! I was able to do this from my check from coaching. This Monday when another check rolls into my account I will buy her a tutu, tights and ballet slippers. She will be thrilled to say the least.

This may not be a big deal to some but our family it is HUGE. Life is changing for us and I can see it only getting better. What I do is not hard. It is the extra accountability I need to keep myself motivated and working out consistently.I have finally found something I can do from home, juggling my children, paperwork for Dave's business, house cleaning, driving the Mom Taxi, cooking, and so on. You get my point. I am happy to have been asked to be a part of this life changing company and proud to say I am making a difference in people's lives. Most importantly my own children's.
