When I stepped on my scale this morning, I had lost 6lbs over the last two weeks. Most people would be delighted, not so I. I was in complete shock! I am usually around 120-122lbs (5'4" short) and very happy with that weight. I held it for the last 12 months and I was very glad about it.

I have a thyroid condition that speeds up my metabolism and makes me burn calories faster than I can eat them. Over the past 8 years, I was on and off medication, now I have been off for over a year and I was/am regarded as cured. Still, the actual reason, the trigger is not known. For me it seems to be emotional stress. Usually negative stress. At the moment I have stress too, but rather pleasant one!

Shit, I am completely run over. I don't overreact that easily but today ... That is just thriving me nuts. I've been eating very conscious the last few weeks. I know my basal rate and what I burn when I am exercising, so I made sure I had enough (I hate to count calories!). I hope it was just the swimming! That I miscalculated it. Amber will know - on more day to wait. And then maybe blood test.

Men, I can't get my head around appointments at the endocrinology clinic, hyperthyroidism related problems  like anxiety and arrhythmias, radioactive iodine therapie, carbimazole and all that stuff! I am sick and tired of hospitals. Just let me get thru Sean's MEE problems. I don't need that rubbish right now!

I just want those pounds back! So if anybody has some to spare , I take them with pleasure!

I regard this journal as a kind of diary. I write down my innermost thoughts and the things that prey on my mind. It often helps to settle my thoughts if I just write about those things that make me feel great or that make me feel sad. I don't hide it because if you want to get to know me, you can read about the things that make me tick. Feel free to comment as I believe you will often find a soulmate or help in the places where you least expect it!

Jun. 9, 2008 at 3:13 AM Girl, I got you covered with lots to spare--LOL.  I have gained almost 50 pounds in the last year and no, I wasn't pregnant.  When I am stressed, I eat everything that doesn't get out of my path.  And girl, the last year was a lu-lu.  So just let me know how much--I can even send extra for those days that you don't feel like counting calories!!!!!  Hugs!

I have lots!!!....I also like to share :-)

Hubby has no thyroid...medication for life :-( It can play up constantly and has to be adjusted constantly.  Which means I either have a raving running around lunatic....or a sloth :-)

Can you take my pounds next week....PLEASE!
