…Now we have FAKE pills to soothe the aches and pains of childhood. I don’t know what is worse the fact that Obecalp (placebo spelled backwards) is going to be fueling tiny hypochondriacs nation wide next week or the fact that this sugar pill was actually created by a mom.
The pills, 50 tablets for $5.95, will be available next week on the Efficacy Brands website. Beyond the ridiculousness of paying for pills that don’t do anything, this “quick fix” for your child’s minor pains is teaching them how to be pill poppers.
As if we didn’t already live in a world full of prescription medication addicts lets teach the next generation to up the ante and reach something stronger too. Kids need to learn that real medication is given for real conditions.
What are your thoughts?

This is the first I have heard of this but my question is how could a mom of all people do something like this? does she not understand what she is doing to her kids? I mean come on...my kids are enough of hypochondriacs (we all know how kids react to little things that are not serious) without something like this. I for one am totally against this pill.

I haven't heard this...but, we are a less is more kinda family on the medication front. I used to see my husband pushing meds a little because his dad was a pediatrician...but I have since changed that behavior :)
I remember a neighbor of mine growing up would threaten her kids with benedryl if they didn't calm down and go to sleep!!!

I never heard of this pill but your so right....A life of popping pills to make it all better is NOT what it's all about....Children need to deal, and believe it or not, if we teach them at a young age how to deal they will be better adults for it....What a typical thing to do in this day and age. "Just take this and allllll your pain with go away"...
Unfortunately, I know some adults that do that and they are totally detached from reality and their rolls as parents......Sad : (
