Hey, I am not feeling too hot today. I really think Jes has BDD, she complains that she is very ugly. I hope it's not. She doesn't want strangers loking at her and she is obsessed with looking in the mirror. Alot of kids at school pick oin her and it makes me sad as a mom to see you child being so depressed. I don't know if I should consult a doctor or something, but if there is anyone with experience with BDD, please help me!! ![]()

Do you think this entire family should have been booted off the blame because of their toddler? http://t.co/HhGSlQyy

I'm so sorry that your daughter is going through this! She is such a beautiful little girl! I have two half-Asian girls myself! I've been lucky though, that so far mine haven't been so picked on in school. Kids can be so hurtful and cruel even at a young age!
It seems from what I've read that BDD doesn't usually manifest until a girl is older. I'm thinking that perhaps she's being picked on simply because she looks different than the other kids around her. It's hard growing up that way--I know I was the only Asian in my class for the first years of Elementary school and it was hard for me too...
I wish that there was a way for your daughter to play with mine--or have a way for other half-Asian children to get together! That way they wouldn't feel so different and hopefully feel proud of the way they look. Good luck...let me know what happens!
Here's some info from Wikipedia about BDD...
